Everton beats Man U on pens to reach FA Cup final.......


Everton reached an FA Cup final against Chelsea by beating Manchester United 4-2 in a penalty shootout after the two sides played out a 0-0 draw at Wembley.


Tim Howard saved two penalties on Sunday in the shootout against his former club and the Toffees will return to the home of English football to face the Blues on May 30. Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-1 in Saturday's semifinal, also at Wembley.

Everton won the last of its five FA Cups by beating Man United in 1995, its last major title, and now has ousted the record 11-time winner in the semifinal

Bangalore win the clash of Royals

Anil Kumble's five-wicket haul helped Royal Challengers Bangalore thump defending champions Rajasthan Royals by 75 runs in the second match of the IPL 2 in Cape Town. Chasing a meagre total of 134 runs set by Royal Challengers, Rajasthan Royals were bundled for just 58 runs in 15.1 runs, the lowest total by any IPL team.The jumbo bowler, who bowed out of the Test cricket last year, proved he still has that sting to torment the batsmen. After the breakthroughs from Praveen Kumar and mauling by Jesse Ryder, the legendary leg-spinner hurried Rajasthan's fall.

McCullum replaces Ganguly as Kolkata skipper


NewZealand wicketkeeper-batsman Brendon McCullum has replaced Sourav Ganguly as skipper of theKolkata Knight Riders for their first match.According to reports received here, McCullum will lead the side in their game on Sunday against the Deccan Chargers at Newlands, Cape Town.......... The Knight Riders team management,however, will make the news official later on Friday.the decision to appoint McCullum in place of Ganguly seems to be a part of the multi-captain theory proposed by coach John Buchanan, which was opposed by Ganguly...........................
